What is a Service Access Fee?
The Service Access Fee is a $6.00 monthly fee applied to all accounts that do not subscribe to one of our basic programming packages. The costs we incur to deliver specialty programming are far greater than what we pay for our basic packages. This small monthly charge allows us to provide specialty programming at a reasonable price.

Why does DISH Network charge a receiver lease fee for my Standard or High Definition receiver?
The receiver lease fee for the first activated receiver on your account is included in your programming package price when you subscribe to qualified programming. An additional receiver lease fee of $5.00 per month for a standard definition receiver (Solo, Duo, Solo DVR, and DuoDVR), or $7.00 per month for a high definition receiver (HD Solo, HD Duo, HD Solo DVR, or HD DuoDVR) will be charged to your account for each receiver activated beyond the first.

What is the procedure and cost of downgrading programming?
In order to remove or change programming, please contact our Customer Service Center at 1-888-686-2388. We are not able to remove or change services online or via email.

Please be advised that there is a $5.00 transaction fee for removing or changing (trading for a like-priced package) programming. The fee to remove or change adult programming is $10.00.

If you are participating in a promotion with a mandatory commitment period, you may incur a cancellation fee if your programming subscription drops below the minimum requirements. If you are an annual subscriber and change your programming within 30 days of the renewal period, we will gladly waive the $5.00 transaction fee.

Free HD for Life requires 24-month commitment to qualifying programming and continuous enrollment in AutoPay with Paperless Billing. Qualifying customer will receive HD programming at no additional cost for the life of the account, limited to channels associated with selected programming package. Programming packages eligible for free HD includes America's Top 120, America's Top 120 Plus, America's Top 200, America's Top 250, DishLATINO Dos and DishLATINO Max. Customer may forfeit free HD in the case of service disconnection.

HBO & Showtime free for 3 months requires subscription to DISH Home Advantage and 24 month commitment for new, first-time customers only.
